Rainbow over Navy Pier

I realize it's been a while since the last post, but these last couple of weeks of the pregnancy are kind of kicking my butt. Just over two weeks until he's due to make his arrival, and I'm hoping he hasn't picked up his dad's habit of being fashionably late for things! We've got all the baby stuff ready, but now are just trying to get everything in line to move/sell our house/finish school/leave work. It's stressful enough to try to conquer all that, let alone with the constant threat that "today could be the day" hanging over our heads! We keep reminding each other that we will have the entire summer to recover!

For those of you who haven't put in your best guess in for the pool at the top right of the page you only have a few days until it will close, so hurry up!

For a fun Friday night I am tackling washing all the baby stuff, so I had to run next door to the Hyatt to get some quarters. On the way back out I approach the giant revolving door, and decide at the last minute not to bolt for it. A guy behind me says "boy I'm glad you decided to wait, that could have been messy" and I turn and it's AL FRANKEN!! So do I say something clever? Do I say "hey, a fellow Minnesotan"? No I just stare at him like an idiot. My mouth might have even been open. I hope I had the decency to laugh at least, but all I remember is completely staring. Real cool.

Isaac is whoopin' it up at the Kentucky Derby, so maybe he'll have some pictures to post after the weekend.

With about four weeks to go my weekend plans consist of packing my hospital bag!

Here's what Baby T (nope, still no name) is up to!
Week Thirty-Six
-Your baby is almost ready and most likely, so are you! The only organ still to mature is the lungs.
-If he hasn't already, this week your baby may drop into the birth canal. While breathing for mom becomes easier, walking may be the exact opposite!
-Fat is dimpling your baby's elbows and knees, and forming creases in the neck and wrists. His skin is growing smooth and, shall we say it, "baby" soft.
-His gums are very rigid. It won't be many months before you'll see his teeth.
-He has a fully developed pair of kidneys and his liver has begun processing some waste products.
-Your child's average size is now 18.66 inches (47.4cm) and 5.78 pounds (2622 g). Between now and birth he will gain about an ounce a day!
