Today was Soren's last music class for this session. We had so much fun we can't wait to start again in the fall! Here Soren is attempting to strum the guitar while his friend Chase makes sure it's in tune. "Get this girl off of meeeee!!!!"
Soren's favorite was probably the parachute. Playing with the bouncy balls.
Percussion time! Soren liked to taste test all the instruments, the elephant shaker passed inspection!
On his final "report card" Soren's teacher noted that he's quite the percussionist! I'm pretty sure that's just because they didn't have any violins for him to play!

Always a hit with the ladies! Johanna smothered Soren with lots of hugs!

Such a handsome fella!

Dear Grandma and Grandpa Albright,
Thank you so much for the awesome new Tilley hat you sent me! I wore it every day this weekend, and not only did it keep the sun out of my eyes, I looked darn cute in it too! It was especially great to have when I was out helping mom and dad in the yard and garden!
Love and smooches,
Soren

Eleven months old! It's hard to believe Soren is coming up on one year! At 11 months Soren is now saying "dada" and "cat", waves bye-bye, gives high fives, and signs "all done"! His favorite foods are curry, black beans (especially if they're spicy), yogurt, any fruit, and pretzels. He's still not crawling, but getting closer and closer! Soren loves to hang out at the park, swinging and watching kids running around. He does not love grass or sand! He's not quite sure what to do when a twig or leaf he wants requires touching the grass to get it, he usually just leaves it.
We've been taking full advantage of living two blocks from beautiful Lake Harriet, and go walking on an almost daily basis. Soren likes to put his feet up on his stroller bar and soak in all the attention from passing admirers. With a grin like this is it any wonder he's the center of attention?

This weekend we went down to lovely Decorah, Iowa where my grandma was buried in the prettiest cemetary overlooking the cornfields, amongst more Norwegians than you'd ever believe! Soren enjoyed the chick hatchery on main street, and even let them peck at his fingers!
After having a sniffly nose last week Soren is battling the beginnings of yet another ear infection. The pediatrician said that kids usually get fewer ear infections starting around one year, which is coming up faster than we care to think! Here's our growing boy enjoying an airplane ride from Uncle Tom!
