two months!

Greta at two months:

Ain't she cute? Greta is super alert and interactive now! She's a smiley, happy baby who really only fusses when she's hungry or occasionally when her tummy hurts. Soren continues to be the best big brother a girl could ask for!

23.5 inches long (90th percentile)

11lbs 11oz (75th percentile)

16.5 inch head (97th percentile)

24.75 inches (95th percentile for boys)

15lbs even (95th percentile)

17 inch head (off the charts)

Patrick & Rachel get married

Our good friends Patrick and Rachel got married last weekend. It was an amazing celebration!

We are so lucky to have been able to get family pictures taken with Molly Durkin again, thanks to my parents. Molly took pictures for Soren's first birthday, and then again a week after Greta was born. We're hoping to make this a yearly tradition around the kids' birthdays! This was my favorite shot of the session:

2009 Albright family Brulympics

This year our annual family get together took on a decidedly different tone. Everyone was a lot more laid back, and in fact we really only managed to play some bocce ball, and the only event we finished was badminton. But it was all good. We were busy relaxing and enjoying one another's company!

My guess is that next year we'll ramp it up again, as it will be the fifth annual Brulympics, but we had a great and relaxing time this year!

Como Town

This summer we have made many a trip to the Como Zoo. It's a great summer zoo since it's mostly outdoors, and you can't beat the price (free)! But up until recently we had never ventured into the kiddie theme park area, Como Town. To say that Soren enjoyed the rides is the understatement of the century, and the faster the better!

Fox Lake

Hoooo boy, I have a lot of catching up to do, and no shortage of people reminding me of that fact! It's hard to find even half an hour these days where I don't have a kid or two needing me! Anyhow, we went up to the cabin a few weeks ago for the first, and maybe only time this summer. The drive went about as smoothly as could be expected from a kid perspective, but between two stops for feeding, and loads of construction, so it tooks us over 7 hours to get up there (Should be about 4.5)! Isaac actually called Governor Pawlenty from the road to complain about the ridiculousness of it all. We essentially had one full day at the cabin, and although Soren really enjoyed it much more than last year, it was a lot of work to keep two kids happy and out of trouble! Between that, the time that packing took, and the time on the road it hardly seems worth it for just a weekend trip. Next time we'll have to convince Isaac to take a day off and make it a long weekend.
