Fox Lake

Hoooo boy, I have a lot of catching up to do, and no shortage of people reminding me of that fact! It's hard to find even half an hour these days where I don't have a kid or two needing me! Anyhow, we went up to the cabin a few weeks ago for the first, and maybe only time this summer. The drive went about as smoothly as could be expected from a kid perspective, but between two stops for feeding, and loads of construction, so it tooks us over 7 hours to get up there (Should be about 4.5)! Isaac actually called Governor Pawlenty from the road to complain about the ridiculousness of it all. We essentially had one full day at the cabin, and although Soren really enjoyed it much more than last year, it was a lot of work to keep two kids happy and out of trouble! Between that, the time that packing took, and the time on the road it hardly seems worth it for just a weekend trip. Next time we'll have to convince Isaac to take a day off and make it a long weekend.
